The School District of Beloit is discussing the idea of no longer allowing upper classman to leave campus for lunch.
District Spokesperson Melissa Badger says the decision has nothing to do with recent incidents in the community, including a shooting a block away from school during lunch, and a serious car accident involving students which also happened during lunch.
Currently, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors at Beloit Memorial High School are allowed to leave school during lunch.
