Interim Beloit Police Chief David Zibolski appears pleased with how well the officers are embracing his efforts to modernize practices within the department.  Zibolski called a news conference Friday morning to list off a number of initiatives he's instituted during his first 120 days on the job.  He says his preliminary goals include enhancing leadership,  strengthening community relationships, and transitioning into more modern day policing.  Zibolski's tenure is uncertain.  City Manager Lori Curtis Luther has yet to reveal why she placed Police Chief Norm Jacobs and deputy Chief Tom Dunkin on leave back in June.
