The Janesville School District needs a new public information specialist. Superintendent Karen Schulte says Kevin Leavy resigned Monday. The decision takes effect immediately. Schulte says immediate resignations are "typical protocol" in district positions with a high level of security. She says Leavy had to quit his community service posts because of the demands on the job, and she hopes he can get back to them if he chooses. District officials are expected to post the position by the end of the week. Leavy had been with the district since December of 2013.
