Good Samaritan not charged for stopping OWI suspect

A Janesville who was arrested for pulling an intoxicated driver from his vehicle will not face charges.

Janesville Police say on November 1st David Adams and his wife were following a vehicle that was serving into the curb and into oncoming traffic on East Milwaukee Street.

Adams exited his vehicle at a stoplight, and pulled the suspected drunk driver, 20-year-old Greydon Pelkey of Madison from his vehicle.

Officer ended up arresting both men after passersby reported seeing Adams punching Pelkey.

The Janesville Gazette reports that the Rock County District's Attorney's Office has decided not to charge Adams.

Pelkey has been charged with and plead not guilty to intoxicated driving.
