The Dave and Carole Schenker family may be funding a scholarship in honor of their daughter, Anna, for the last time this year. Dave Schenker says money collected from recycling Christmas tree lights is down. Over the years. Dave says they've collected and recycled more lights than you might think. Perhaps two semi loads. Anna Schenker was killed in a car crash almost ten years ago while attending UW-Rock County. The Anna Schenker Scholarship is awarded in September to a freshman student. Old Christmas tree lights can be dropped off at various sites around Janesville and Beloit including all BMO Harris Banks.
