For the second time since becoming Beloit’s Interim Police Chief in June, David Zibolski is a finalist for the Police Chief position in another City.

The Kenosha News reports that the Kenosha Police and Fire Commission named Zibolski and two others Tuesday as the finalists in the running to replace retiring Police Chief John Morrissey.

The other two finalists are Kenosha Deputy Chief Daniel Miskinis, and retired McHenry County, Illinois under-sheriff Andrew Zinke.

Zibolsi was also a finalist for the Chief of Police position in Green Bay in November.

Earlier this month the Beloit Police and Fire Commission hired a consultant to help search for a permanent police chief in Beloit. They hope to make their decision by the beginning of March.

Zibolski took over the reigns at the Beloit Police Department after Chief Norm Jacobs and Deputy Chief Tom Dunkin were placed on paid leave. Both men retired before hearings before the Police and Fire Commission were set to begin.
