The Janesville School District is touting the benefits of its on-line charter school. Dean of Student Services Dave Parr says the ARISE Virtual Academy offers a unique opportunity. Parr says most schools have no such offering. Parr also boasts the teacher behind the on-line curriculum is what make’s Janesville’s program excellent. He says they can make a real connection with students thanks to video conferencing. The district is currently promoting ARISE because this is open enrollment period for public schools.
