Elections in Wisconsin now require a photo ID and Rock County Clerk Lisa Tollefson tells Your Talk Show on WCLO college students planning to use their school issued card may find it’s not acceptable.  Tollefson says a student ID must not be expired, but must have both the issue and expiration date, and the expiration date can’t be more than two years after the issue date.  Besides a picture of the student, the ID must also have a signature.    The student must also have a document proving enrollment, like a tuition receipt or class schedule.  Other forms of photo ID which will be accepted include a state of Wisconsin issued license not expired before the last general election in November of 2014, Wisconsin state ID, military ID, US passport book or card, or certificate of naturalization issued within the last two years.  Tollefson says a few other IDs are also acceptable, and you can confirm them all at the Rock County Clerk’s Website under the elections tab.  She says the Gazette also plans to list them all with a sample ballot in Monday’s paper.
