A well known guessing game almost ends before it begins. The popular Janesville Golden K Kiwanis Truck on Ice raffle comes to an abrupt end. After little more than a week perched atop the frozen surface of Traxler Park Lagoon, spokesman Glen Disrude says the Chevy Suburban has sunk. Disrude says the truck sunk sometime midday Friday February 19th. Players are likely checking the guesses on their raffle tickets, but Disrude has no idea who the lucky winner might be, because all the tickets are locked away in a vault. They won’t be retrieved until Davis Citgo decides it’s safe to tow out the truck. That could be weeks. Disrude says this year’s nine-day duration isn’t even the shortest time the truck spent on ice. The longest was March 20th.
