The Janesville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization will hold two public open houses seeking public comment on the Draft 2015-2050 Janesville Area Long Range Transportation Plan. The first open house will be held in the Program Room of Hedberg Public Library on Tuesday, March 15 from 4:30 to 6:30p.m. The second open house will be held at Milton Public Library on Wednesday, March 16 from 4:30 to 6:30p.m. For both meetings, a brief presentation of the Plan will begin at 5p.m.

The 2015 – 2050 Janesville Area Long Range Transportation Plan evaluates existing transportation conditions in the Janesville area and recommends improvements for all transportation modes. The Plan establishes goals and objectives, identifies issues and needs, and recommends projects and programs to improve transportation in the Janesville/Milton area. Comments from the public will be integrated into the final plan, which is expected to be adopted in May 2016.

Draft sections of the Plan have been posted to the City of Janesville website at www.ci.janesville.wi.us/mpo and hard copies of the plan may be viewed on the third floor of Janesville City Hall or at Hedberg or Milton Public Libraries.

If you are unable to attend the public open house but would like to comment, please contact Terry Nolan at 755-3095 ornolant@ci.janesville.wi.us.
