An Edgerton man is under arrest in connection with a strong-armed robbery that occurred on Valentines Day.
Janesville Police says that officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of North Harmony Drive around 5:00 p.m. on February 14th.
The victim reported that she was walking on the sidewalk when a man came up to her and forcefully grabbed her purse before fleeing the area in a vehicle.
Janesville Police identified 26-year-old Matthew L. Kirt as a suspect after he was seen on bank surveillance video cashing some of the victim’s checks.
Kirt was taken into custody Thursday on suspicion of robbery and forgery.
