A 28-year-old Beloit woman is accused of stealing medications intended for patients at a nursing home.
Ashley C. Berry is charged with obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, and misdemeanor theft in Rock County Court.
According to the criminal complaint, Beloit Police were dispatched to Sun Valley Terrace Nursing Home on March 3rd on the report of the theft of prescription medication by an employee.
The facility’s administrator reported that during the month of February almost 200 pills went missing while Berry was working the medication cart.
Beloit Police say that took Berry into custody on March 14th and she eventually admitted to the thefts.
If convicted Berry faces more than six years in prison.
