A third more students have been expelled from the Janesville School District this year than at this same time last year.

A high school student was kicked out of school for engaging in conduct while in school which endangered the property, health, and safety of others by brandishing a weapon and making threats toward another student on school grounds in the Clinton School District, and possessing a knife on school grounds.

The student is expelled from school until the age of 21 without the possibility of early reinstatement.

This brings the total number of expulsions this school year to 21 compared to 14 at the same time last year.
