A military funeral is being planned in Beloit for a serviceman lost more than 50 years ago. Airman George Ingram was a crew member of a C-124 Globemaster which crashed near Anchorage, Alaska in 1952. Sergeant Ryan Flanagan, who’s organizing the Beloit Police Honor Guard, says an Alaska National Guard Black Hawk Helicopter training mission rediscovered the crash site four years ago.  The POW-MIA Accounting Command has now identified the remains through DNA. Flanagan says a processional, bringing the body home, will arrive around 5:15-5:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and travel along Milwaukee Road, Pleasant Street, and Public Avenue to the Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home. Burial, with full military honors, is planned for 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Veterans Section of Eastlawn Cemetery.
