The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is notifying the public of some road construction causing a slight detour on I-39/90 at the Wisconsin 59 interchange near Edgerton on Monday and Tuesday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

DOT spokesman Steven Theisen says crews are removing the existing Wisconsin 59 Bridge, and are rerouting traffic in both lanes onto the interchange ramps.

Crews in Janesville Monday will also begin underground work for traffic signal adjustments at six intersections of Milwaukee Street between Atwood Avenue to Lucust Street. It’s not expected to severely impact traffic.

It’s part of a weeks-long process to convert 10 downtown blocks of the street into a two-way road.
