The crowd may not have been as large as in years past, when the parade was an end of summer staple for the union supporting town, but the number of spectators was still respectable.  Many parents applauded the spectacle’s return as something good for families and children.  Others thought the event helped bring the community together.  Organizers say more than 60 units graced the parade with the return of many traditional favorites including clowns, classic cars, and candy.
