Motorists traveling US Highway 14 through Janesville next week may want to find a new route.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the major thoroughfare will be closed at the railroad crossing just east of Newville Road between 7:00 Monday Morning and 5:00 next Friday afternoon.
A posted detour will follow State Highway 51, Black Bridge Road, and Milton Avenue.
The closure is necessary while crews working for the Union Pacific Railroad replace a railroad crossing.
