A 50-year-old Beloit man faces his seventh arrest for drunken driving.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Rock County Court, a Beloit Police Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Bluff Street just after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday on the report that a vehicle had been honking it’s horn for 20 minutes.
The officer reports that the driver of the suspect vehicle, Robert Peter Maciulis, appeared intoxicated and claimed he was waiting for two people to come out of a residence.
Maciulis admitted that he had been drinking even though he was on probation and was legally required to stay sober.
Maciulis has six previous operating while intoxicated convictions dating back to 1993.
If convicted Maciulis faces over 10 years in prison.
