Police in Indiana locate the missing truck of a town of Newark man who died in fire last week, along with the drifter who had been staying with him.

The Rock county Sheriff’s says yesterday Bedford, Indiana Police stopped the red Chevy S-10 that belonged to 62-year-old Thomas McGowan.

The two occupants told police they purchased the truck from Marshall Bischoff, who’s description fit that of the man who had been staying with McGowan prior to the November 29th fire.

Bischoff told detectives that he left Wisconsin prior to the fire and that he had permission to use McGowan’s truck. He said that the truck broke down so he sold it for scrap.

The Sheriff’s Office says there isn’t any evidence to charge Bischoff with a crime, and the cause of the fatal fire at McGowan’s residence remains under investigation.
