Beloit police are investigating a shooting which landed a 66-year-old man in the hospital. Officers say the shooting happened just before 10:00 o’clock Tuesday night in the 1000 block of Prairie Avenue. The preliminary investigation suggests a man on foot, and another in a car exchanged gun fire near an intersection. A bullet went through a nearby homes window and struck the victim. His wound is not considered life-threatening.
