Officials at the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin may be looking back at 2016 with pride.  Executive Director Brett Frazier says adoptions were up and euthanasia down.  In fact, the numbers were so good Frazier calls it a record year.  He says adoptions grew by almost 20%, nearly doubling since 2013.  He says for the first time they topped 2000 adoptions in a year.  He also says euthanasia plummeted.  Down from close to 30% in 2013, to 6.5% last year.  He says the success is due to community involvement.
