A group of mostly University of Wisconsin Medical students are concerned Speaker of the House Paul Ryan wants to block funding for Planned Parenthood. Maggie Smith joined dozens of other students dressed in white lab coats Wednesday outside the Republican’s downtown Janesville office. Smith helped deliver a letter with hundreds of signatures from members of the medical community. Smith says the programs threatened are primarily preventative and cover services including cervical cancer screening, STI testing, and affordable access to long lasting contraception.
