A 29-year-old Beloit man dies from injuries suffered in a residential fire. The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department identifies the victim as Cody James Wilson. The medical examiner says Wilson died Tuesday. The fire in the 500 block of Liberty Avenue was reported about 11:00 o’clock Sunday morning. Police say Wilson was smoking next to a gasoline can on the porch when the fumes ignited. The death remains under investigation.
