A public golf course is Janesville is taking full advantage of the first day of spring. Riverside Golf Course General Manager Steve Loomis says the historical 18-hole course opens this week after some challenging preparations. Loomis says the unusually warm winter weather has created plenty of excitement for an early season start. He says March weather is always questionable though, but he says golfers have been eager to hit the links. He says 120 golfers showed up Sunday for opening day. He says Blackhawk will open this Saturday, weather permitting.
