The search for Joseph A. Jakubowski (M/W, DOB: 07/21/84, 5’10”, 200 lbs, green eyes and brown hair) continues this Saturday morning. All local, state and federal agencies continue to be involved in this search and additional resources have come in from Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota. Since this incident began, investigators have responded to well over two hundred leads and still are working on approximately seventy of them.
The response from the community has been excellent. Media coverage of the incident is outstanding, advertising companies have volunteered their services to further aid in the identification and apprehension of this dangerous individual. Businesses and individual citizens have gone so far as to deliver food and water to investigators. This level of support is certainly appreciated during this difficult and dangerous search.
While it is apparent that so many in the community are helping law enforcement keep watch for this subject, we continue to need additional tips and leads to help locate Jakubowski. A $10,000 reward has been offered by the FBI for information leading to the suspect’s capture and they have established a tip line at 1-800-CALLFBI (225-5324). Additionally, if anyone directly observes Jakubowski, they should call 911 directly and avoid putting themselves in a dangerous position as he is continued to be regarded as armed and dangerous.
