Thanksgiving day at the Janesville Mall will likely be a little quiet again this year. The mall’s managing company, CBL & Associates Properties, says it will repeat last year’s decision to close the mall for the Holiday. The closure will affect stores in the interior common areas, but anchor stores with outside access can remain open if they choose. CBL spokeswoman Tiffany Scultz says this year’s decision was based on a positive reaction to last year’s holiday closure. She says CBL also got feedback from shoppers that the break helped them feel “refreshed” and ready to tackle Black Friday shopping the next morning.
