Middle school students in Janesville are working ahead on their careers.  District College and Career Readiness Coordinator Patty Hernandez says all middle school students create their own academic and career plans.  The exercise is intended to help identify and support strengths and needs, and prepare the students for higher education, apprenticeships, or technical careers after high school.  As part of this career exploration, seven-hundred students will participate in Industry Day Tuesday.  Students will be bussed to area businesses that fit their pre-determined Career Clusters.  During the visits, students will meet company executives and employees, who will share information about the company and the skills and education needed.
