(Gazette graphic) A Janesville based company, planning a revolutionary manufacturing technique for medical isotopes, has completed construction of its first production building. SHINE Medical Technologies Vice President of Business Development Katrina Pitas says “Building One” is done. Pitas says “Building One” will be used to showcase how the medical isotope Moly-99 can be produced. Previously SHINE officials have said a prototype production facility for the manufacture of Moly-99 would promote further investment in a full scale operation. Construction on a full size production facility is expected to begin as early as this summer.
