A 37-year-old Beloit man is charged in federal court with distributing heroin.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Madison says that Juan Carlos Perez was indicted by a grand jury last Thursday for sellin heroin in December of 2016.
The charge against Perez is the result of an investigation by G-ROC, a task force formed through the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Violent Crime Initiative, to address gang and drug-related violence through the coordination of investigations among local and federal law enforcement agencies.
If convicted Perez faces up to 20 years in prison.
