The Janesville City Council asks a different question and gets the same answer.

City Clerk Treasurer Dave Godek says he needs to find a temporary polling place for Wards three and four while City Hall is under renovation.

Godek says after looking a 12 other locations he is still recommend that the City use the police services building as a polling place despite opposition from the NAACP and the Police Department’s African American Liaison Committee.

Godek says some of the issues with the other sites including nearby churches and the Armory have to do with a lack of parking and ADA compliance.

The City Council will have the final say when they meet at 6:00 on Monday night.
