Milton school board censures member

The Milton School Board appears at odds with one of its members.  The board Monday night censured member Brian Kvapil.  He stood accused of bullying and acting unethically toward a student council representative who participates on the board.  The meeting was scheduled to be held in closed session, but Kvapil suggested it be held in the open for the sake of transparency.  The incident involving the student followed the February 12th meeting.  During the meeting Kvapil asked to see the district’s criteria for prioritizing facility projects.  The student council representative told Kvapil the information was on the website.  Following the meeting, district employees report a discussion between Kvapil and the student became.  A censure is a way for a government body to express it’s displeasure with a member’s behavior without further punishment.
