Rock County Sheriff’s Office establishes Explorer Post

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is taking applications for young people ages 14-20 years of age for the creation of a Police Explorers Post.

Law Enforcement Exploring is the preeminent career orientation and experience program for young people contemplating a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system. Its mission is to offer young adults, age 14 that have completed the eighth grade, and other individuals not yet 21 years old, a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition, assisting with special events, and other activities.

Applications can be picked up and turned in at the following areas:

 Evansville High School – Guidance Office

 Edgerton High School – Guidance Office

 Milton High School – Guidance Office

 Clinton High School – Guidance Office

 Turner High School – Guidance Office

 Orfordville High School – Guidance Office

 The Rock County Sheriff’s Office front lobby (Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Completed applications must be submitted to the school’s counselors or may be dropped off at the Rock County Sheriff’s Office by April 6, 2018.
