Further inspection expected of local school district’s pool

Milton School District officials may soon have a better idea of how best to deal with the high school’s aging swimming pool. Superintendent Tim Schigur says an aquatics engineer’s assessment, recommended after this week’s inspection by the district’s insurance company, should help.  School officials have long been concerned about safety and maintenance issues at the pool. Schigur says the engineer’s report should help in the preparation of possible solutions and costs to be presented to the school board.  The report could take a couple of months to prepare.  Until then, the pool will remain open.
