One of the surest signs of spring arrives in Janesville Monday. The city says the compost and demolition site off Blackbridge Road will be opening for the season. With moderate weather expected this weekend, City Solid Waste Supervisor Mandy Bonneville expects a lot of interest. She says sometimes hundreds of people a day use the site. The compost site is free for Janesville residents. The demolition site, for trees, branches, and stumps has a nominal fee.
