Early spring storm rolls through Janesville

Dozens of Janesville residents, particularly on the city’s south side, are assessing the damage from an early Wednesday evening thunderstorm, which included high winds and hail.  Janesville Police Sergeant Joshua Norem says officers responded to close to two-dozen calls for service.  Reports included damaged siding, downed tree limbs, and broken windows.  Fire Captain Bob Gabbey says six-to-eight calls came in concerning arching wires, mainly due to branches on power lines.  He says at least one pole was snapped.  Residents in Milton and Beloit only reported heavy rains.
