A career in nursing may have quite a future in Wisconsin. Blackhawk Technical College Nursing Program Chair Deb Pessoa says a combination of retirements, and a growing number of elderly from the baby boom generation, will fuel the need.  The Wisconsin Center for Nursing predicts a shortage of 20,000 registered nurses in the state by the year 2035.  Despite being known as a two-year school, Pessoa says BTC has a very active Registered Nursing program. 19-such students will be graduating this Saturday.
