A local charity is planning a little outdoor advertising next month. Janesville Salvation Army Major Bob Fay says Christmas in July will be held over two consecutive weekends following Independence Day. Fay calls it as much a media campaign, as a fundraising campaign. He says it’s important for people to know need has no season. Fay says a big increase in need over the summer months comes from families seeking more food to compensate for the loss of meals through the school lunch program.
