Jennifer Thompson with the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Rock County says Alert-Line is the first group in Beloit to win the designation. Other groups can also become more "Dementia Friendly". Thompson says with the "Baby Boom" aging, the need to better understand dementia is growing. 18 people from rock County have already completed the Train the Trainer program and are ready to go into local businesses and organizations to provide free educational support.
