Bail remains at $200,000 for fatal hit and run suspect

The attorney for a man charged in the hit and run deaths of two Janesville motorcyclists argues that his bail should be reduced.

John Holevoet says 24-year-old Sambath Pal is not a flight risk.

Assistant District Attorney Anne Nack said Pal is a flight risk, considering that he's charged with two counts of hit and run involving death.

Court Commissioner Stephen Meyer agreed, and kept Pal's bail at $200,000.

Pal was in court Wednesday for an adjourned initial appearance.

Pal is accused of driving the 2004 Infiniti SUV which struck and killed 24-year-old Mitchel Vance and 18-year-old Devin Julius on Easter Sunday.

Pal will be back in court on May 16th.
