A Beloit man is sentenced to a year and a half in federal prison for delivery of heroin.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 36-year-old Dante McAlister plead guilty to the charge on August 26th.
Authorities say McAlister delivered both heroin and cocaine to an informant in March and April of this year. At the time he was on supervised release for being a felon in possession of a firearm, and had only been out of police custody for a month.
In addition to the prison time, McAlister was given three years of supervised release.
