It's time for Janesville residents to find out what's going to happen to parking downtown when the deck over the Rock River comes down.
The City of Janesville will host a public informational meeting on the recently-completed downtown parking study on Monday from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
The City’s parking consultant, Walker Parking Consultants, will present their draft report and findings at this session. The open house will provide an opportunity to ask questions about existing and future downtown parking conditions.
The parking study examines the availability of public parking spaces in downtown Janesville on a block-by-block basis. The study compares the existing parking supply with anticipated future demand based on a number of scenarios and includes an analysis on the effect that removal of the Parking Plaza will have on parking availability.
The public meeting will be held at the Municipal Building on the 4th floor in the Council Chambers.
