A 41-year-old Edgerton man is under arrest after leading several law enforcement agencies on a chase that included a golf cart.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office says just after 11:30 Monday morning deputies were notified by the Wisconsin State Patrol and Edgerton Police that Jeffery M. Helin had led officers on a lengthy pursuit and had several active warrants.

Deputies say Helin crashed his vehicle into an orange traffic barrel on I-39/90, and then fled on foot into Rock River Leisure Estates, taking a golf cart from the campground.

Rock County deputies and Edgerton Police caught up with Helin in the area of Kidder Road and County M where he led them on a short pursuit with the golf cart before crashing.

Helin was taken into custody without further incident on charges of operating a motor vehicle without owner's consent, fleeing, resisting arrest, and warrants for a domestic violence incident.
