Goex may get a break on infrastructure improvements for it's new facility on Newville Road.
The Janesville City Council is proposing applying for a $560,000Transportation Economic Assistance Grant through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to pay for eligible transportation-related costs including traffic signals, frontage road construction, rail spur, street lights, and sidewalk.
The remaining $560,000 in infrastructure improvements would be covered by TIF 21, which was established in 1999 when the project was first proposed.
Goex makes plastic sheet products and employs about 128 people. The $13 million expansion will create 63 new jobs.
The Janesville City Council meets March 11th at 7:00 pm.
