Janesville School District Hires Back Retiree Joe Dye

Retired Parker High School Athletic Director and math teacher Joe Dye will be back again this fall.

In a four to three vote on Tuesday night, the Janesville School Board approved hiring Dye back for the position he retired from in June.

Dye will receive his former salary of $75,000, however the district will no longer contribute to his retirement account, and he'll also continue receiving retirement health care benefits.

School Board member Kevin Murray called it a case of double dipping.

Dye was with the district for 33 years before he retired.
