A Janesville teacher is sent home drunk.
According to the Janesville Gazette a teacher who got sick and passed out while supervising a field trip at a bowling alley had a blood-alcohol content of .27.
50-year-old Maria Caya was was of nine employees from Washington Elementary School who accompanied a group of fourth graders to River's Edge Bowl on Thursday.
Her husband picked her up and took her to the hospital where staff took her blood-alcohol level and contacted police.
Although police made contact with Caya, she was not placed under arrest. Reportedly she admitted to hospital staff that she had been drinking at 6:00 that morning prior to supervising the field trip.
