Janesville woman pleads gulity to lesser charges in teen prostitution case
A 26-year-old Janesville woman accused of forcing a runaway teen from Walworth County into prostitution pleads guilty to lesser charges.
Police say Erica White and 27-year-old Patrick X. Cooper convinced a 16-year-old girl to be a prostitute at an apartment on Center Avenue. The girl had sex for money with at least three to four clients a day between mid-December and early January.
White pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of offering herself for prostitution in Rock County Court on Tuesday.
As part of a plea agreement, she also pleaded guilty to a felony count of soliciting a child for prostitution, but the sentence was withheld.
Cooper was sentenced to four years in prison in April.
