The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Rock County, but the economy may not be as healthy. Rock County has one less news and information outlet. After three years offering videos about happenings in Rock County on the Internet, Local Vision T-V owner Tony Huml is letting the camera's go dark. The young entrepreneur says he saw an opportunity to provide television styled news and information on the web and "Seized the Day". Huml says the business community showed his "start-up" video production and Internet marketing company great support, as reflected by an "Accelerate Your Business Plan" award from Rock County 5.0, a Forward Janesville "Entrepreneur of the Year" designation, and a Wisconsin Broadcaster's Association recognition for Best Multimedia Ad. Huml says he tried to do things a little different, and perhaps even better by adding a little fun to the news. Huml admits the economy had a role in his decision to end production, but the "Visionary" still has high expectations this type of product will be "main stream" in the very near future. In the end, he calls his three years of production, "Good Stuff". Huml's daily news anchor, Rose Stricker, Monday morning announced Local Vision TV would be ceasing operations at the end of the month.
