Local student semifinalist for 2014 Presidential Scholars award



A Janesville high school student is a semifinalist for the 2014 Presidential Scholars award.

Parker High School Senior Samuel Schendel is one of Wisconsin's nine semifinalists, among 565 total semifinalists nation-wide.

The Presidential Scholars program was established in 1964 to recognize and honor the nation's most distinguished high school students.

Students chosen as Presidential Scholars will travel to Washington D.C. in June for a ceremony at the White House.
