The Oxycodone bandit is in custody thanks to a diligent pharmacy employee.
According to an email from Joel Despain of the Madison Police Department, 35-year-old Tony Taylor of Delvan was arrested by the Village of Deforest Police Department Tuesday.
Reportedly, an employee at a Deforest pharmacy called police when they saw Taylor, who she recognized from media reports.
Taylor is wanted in connection with a string of pharmacy robberies, spanning from Madison down to Illinois, including several in Janesville, Edgerton, and Beloit.
In each incident, a white male suspect entered the store, and handed a note to an employee demanding oxycodone and oxycontin. In some of the cases he fled in a pickup truck, in other instances he fled on foot.
Currently Taylor's being held at the Dane County Jail.
