Forecasts include a chance of rain each day through Wednesday, and the Rock River, which is already to its brink is close to running over parts of South River Road in Janesville.
Currently Happy Hollow Park in the town of Rock is closed, South River Road in the town of Rock is open but being monitored for flooding. Drivers should use caution around areas of high water near the roadway.
In Edgerton, Lake Shore Drive is closed from East Road Three Street to East Road Seven Street, and East Road Nine Street is closed east from Ridge Road to the end of East Road Nine Street.
Towns in the path of potential floods are staging sandbag stations this weekend.
The sheriff’s office is asking drivers to report hazardous flood conditions by calling Rock County 911 Communications at 608-757-2244. People with questions about sandbagging or other flood concerns should call town officials or the Rock County Emergency Management Division at 608-758-8440.
